Senior Cybersecurity Engineer
Location: Remote | Experience Level: Senior (5+ years)
Build the next generation of autonomous threat detection systems. You'll design and develop Sentinel—our agentic threat detection platform that autonomously monitors, analyzes, and responds to threats in real-time.
About the Role
Sentinel is redefining security by replacing reactive detection with proactive, autonomous agents. As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you'll architect and build intelligent security agents that learn from threats, correlate events, and make autonomous response decisions without human intervention.
You'll work on:
- Autonomous threat detection agents - Design agents that continuously monitor and analyze security events
- Intelligent anomaly detection - Build systems that recognize threats through behavioral analysis and pattern correlation
- Autonomous response workflows - Create decision-making frameworks for autonomous threat response
- Threat intelligence integration - Build agent systems that learn from threat data and improve autonomously
- Distributed security networks - Scale autonomous agents across multi-region deployments
About You
Required:
- 5+ years of professional cybersecurity or security engineering experience
- Deep expertise in threat detection, security architecture, or incident response
- Strong understanding of modern security challenges (advanced threats, threat intelligence, compliance)
- Experience with SIEM systems, IDS/IPS, or security analytics platforms
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Rust, or C++)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Nice to Have:
- Experience with machine learning or anomaly detection systems
- Background in autonomous systems or agent-based architecture
- Experience building distributed systems at scale
- Contributions to open-source security projects
- Knowledge of threat intelligence platforms or threat hunting frameworks
What We're Looking For
- Deep technical problem-solving skills with a focus on autonomous security systems
- Experience designing systems that make intelligent decisions without human intervention
- Ability to work across multiple domains (cloud, on-premises, edge environments)
- Strong communication skills to explain complex security concepts to non-security teams
- Passion for building production-grade systems that operate reliably at scale
Responsibilities
- Design and develop autonomous threat detection agents for Sentinel
- Architect intelligent security decision-making frameworks
- Build threat correlation and analysis systems that operate autonomously
- Contribute to Sentinel's threat intelligence and learning capabilities
- Collaborate with teams to integrate Sentinel into customer environments
- Participate in security reviews and threat modeling for our agentic systems
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation
